Come to Christ Day 2: He is Coming

In the Book of Malachi we come across a very unsettling text, even for the ancient Jew.

Because there in chapter 3 we read:

“Behold, the one whom you seek will suddenly come to His Temple.”

And we are left asking ourselves (if we truly are in the mindset of the ancient Jew), “who could that be?”

But we know as they did; only one person could ever claim that that the Temple was His, God Himself.

So today let’s be honest, “are we prepared for that?”

Because this is what Advent and ultimately Christmas is all about.

The Word, the Second Person of the Trinity stepping down into a world that He created.

And yes, He will be coming to His Temple as He is even now found in tabernacles all over the world.

But let’s make no mistake about it.

ADVENT 2 THUMBNAIL Mailchimp

This Jesus is not coming to condemn the world but to save it.

To raise those up who have given up on love…

To forgive those who can barely lift their voices…

To open up the heavens for those who struggle to speak what is true even after an entire life of falsehood.

ARE YOU READY FOR THAT?

And are you willing to be a part of it?

This Advent start spreading the Mercy of God.

Start with those closest to you. In the home and in the workplace.

Remind them all, that Christmas is about God’s mercy.

And we do that, by showing them.

Let’s talk tomorrow.

in Christ, patrick
